HOSW Governance

HOSW governance structure consists of:

General Assembly:  The General Assembly is the highest decision-making body of the organization. General Assembly is regularly holding annual meetings. Also, in case of urgency or suggestion of two third of the board of directors the general assembly meeting will be held.

Board of Directors: The Board of Directors is responsible to see that procedures are in place and ensure constitutional responsibilities are met, and that an effective organization compliance program has been established. HOSW board of Directors consist of 8 members.

Executive Board: The executive board consist of; 1) Executive Director, 2) Deputy Director, 3) Technical Manager, 4) Finance manager and 5) Administrative in-charge.

The Executive Director is a member of board of directors and appointed for four years. The other four members of the Executive Board are employees of the organization appointed by the Executive Director and endorsed by the board of directors through the interviewing process.

Program Support Unit (PSU) manages program implementation under the direct supervision of Executive Director and overseen by the Executive Board and Board of Directors. All key decisions are discussed and decided upon by the Executive Board of the organization under close supervision of Board of Directors. The PSU consists of Program and Operation Units.

4.1. Program Unit: HOSW has established various program teams for effective implementation of the projects in below thematic areas:

·        Community resilience & livelihood

·        Health & Nutrition

·        Emergency response

·        Women empowerment

·        Community development

·        Education and Early Childhood Development

4.2. Operation Unit consist of Administration, Human Resource Management, Finance, Procurement, and Safety and Security units.

5. Independent M&E:  the organization have independent M&E unit which is responsible for monitoring and evaluation, reporting, learning and accountability, and overall program quality assurance. The unit is reporting directly to the Executive Director.
